Preparation for Licensure (ATI Pharm Practice A)

After completing the ATI pharmacology Practice A exam, I definitely notice how much studying I have to do in order to feel comfortable with pharmacology for the NCLEX exam. There were a lot of medications that I did not recognize so I would attempt to make it sound like another medication that was in a completely different classification just so I could make an educated guess on the answer to the questions. It was frustrating because I felt that I should know all of these medications by this point in nursing school, however I decided to take it as a learning experience that shows me what exactly I need to focus on when studying for the NCLEX and what medications I know. I was able to take this exam in a quiet space with no breaks or distractions that would take away from my focus to this assignment. After remediation, I am looking forward to taking the next exam and hopefully doing much better and feeling more confident in my knowledge of pharmacology.
