In the text “The future of science…is art?” Jonah Lehrer argues that if the gap between art and science is filled, all the unanswered questions will be answered. Science is known for being factual and to the point, however art is fiction and not real. When the connection and relationship between science and art is finally realized and the gap between the two subject is filled, then the possibilities for discoveries are endless. Art to science acts as a metaphor does to the English language. It helps us to understand more complex ideas that are hard to grasp as  well as helps people to visualize things that are not easily understood. Art helps science reach an intellectual level that no one ever thought possible.

Since science is so strict, scientists tend to stick to the facts and not think outside of the factual box, when in reality, they should think outside the box and try to find the answers to those more complex questions such as what is everything? and who are we? Adding art to science will help people to loosen their minds from the tight ropes of science and allow the ability to think of connections that no one thought possible, develop hypothesis and test them until they discover things that have never been found.
